Congress created the national park in 1917; at the time, the purpose was to protect Dall sheep from over-hunting. The park's size and purpose grew over time. The national park is now around 6 million acres and
much of the park remains devoid
of human development. The state
park is approximately 325,000
acres and is adjacent to the east
side of the national park.

アラスカ北部
ダルトン ハイウェイを経由してアラスカ北部を探索し、ユーコン川、北極圏国立公園、ANWR にアクセスして、アラスカの最も険しく息をのむような風景をお楽しみください。
ダルトン ハイウェイは、リベングッドの町から北極圏のプルドー ベイまで続く 414 マイルの道路です。54 マイル地点でユーコン川を渡ります。ユーコン川はアラスカで最も長い川で、クロンダイク ゴールド ラッシュの時代には主要な交通手段でした。ダルトンに沿って北へ進むと、国内最大の国立野生生物保護区である北極圏国立野生生物保護区 (ANWR) と、北極圏の真上にある北極圏の門国立公園にアクセスできます。
アラスカ南東部
